assassin's creed 3 brotherhood review

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - The history of the Assassin's Creed series developed quite successfully and rapidly. The first part was released in 2007 (only on consoles - the project visited personal computers only in 2008). Although the game was heavily promoted, demanding users found a number of significant flaws in it. The sequel, which appeared in 2009 (on the PC - again a year late), changed the situation - the developers took into account all the criticism and made the second part even stronger and more thoughtful. Now we are waiting for the third part of the series, the hallmark of which is the presence of multiplayer. Almost before the release of the project, Ubisoft prudently conducted a beta test of its "trump card" - we will talk about it in our material.

Our attention was brought to one of the modes called Wanted. As you might guess, the main task here will be to search for and eliminate a given target - in fact, that's why we are assassins. But here everything is far from being as simple as it seems at first glance. Firstly, three more assassins can “lay their eyes” on our target. So the hunt turns into a kind of competition - whoever manages to deal with the victim first, he gets valuable experience points. Their number, by the way, depends on many parameters: make a silent murder or eliminate the victim incognito - you will be generously rewarded for any skillful deprivation of life. And such rewards are the right way to level up and, most importantly, level up your character. You will gradually open up new abilities, various perks, as well as rewards for a series of murders.

To more effectively eliminate the target, you need to stay away and try not to catch the "client" in the eyes - if he notices you and tries to escape, then for a certain period of time (it measures the bar that appears on the screen), you need to catch up with him and still complete your dark business . If this does not happen, the target will disappear completely and the contract with you to capture it will be terminated.

Eyes on the back of the head

Of course, such adventures have a downside - in bounty hunting, you yourself can become a victim. In this case, everything happens exactly the opposite - a price is put on your head, and four assassins eager to fulfill the contract are on the trail. So, in addition to tracking down the target and trying to effectively eliminate it, you will have to constantly look around. Have you noticed a bloodthirsty watching enemy? Do not hesitate and immediately start running away - if you manage to break away from your pursuers, then the reward is guaranteed (not only in the form of a saved life, but also in the form of bonus points). Actually, it is in such situations that some of the available abilities will come in handy for you - for example, you can deceive the killers by temporarily taking on the appearance of another character. Don't worry - even if such camouflage features are not available to you at the moment, you can always use the world around you to escape the chase. We already know all this from a single player game - the hero can sit on a bench, approach a group of people and participate in a conversation, or, in extreme cases, dive into a wagon filled with hay.

The characters available for the game have already been spectacularly presented in their respective trailers more than once. So the Courtesan (Courtesan), and the Hairdresser (Barber), and the Priest (Priest), and all other characters are already familiar to us. Thanks to their unique weapons, each of them has their own unique style of killing. Once in the game lobby, we select the possible personalities at that time, and wait for one of several maps to load. By the way, at the moment the choice of scenery is random - it's not so convenient, because sometimes you have to play several times in a row at the same location. However, there are absolutely no complaints about their design. During the hunt, they are at our disposal completely and completely - fights take place at various levels, and you can move around the territory in absolutely any direction.

It looks like Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood deservedly earned the title of "Best Online Multiplayer" at the latest E3. If, in addition to the presented mode, any other team interaction is implemented, then the degree of popularity of such a project is even difficult to imagine. The developers managed to create a tense and exciting action thanks to the unique setting and the competent use of gameplay "chips". Well, the console version of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will hit the shelves very soon - thanks to the beta test, we are looking forward to it even more.
